Macomb County 4-H Youth Development Program

Today, 4-H serves youth in rural, urban and suburban communities in every state across the nation. 4-H’ers are tackling the nation’s top issues, from global food security, climate change and sustainable energy to childhood obesity and food safety.  4-H out-of-school programming, in-school enrichment programs, clubs and camps also offer a wide variety of STEM opportunities – from agricultural and animal sciences to rocketry, robotics, environmental protection and computer science – to improve the nation’s ability to compete in key scientific fields and take on the leading challenges of the 21st century.

Your Support Will Make a Big Difference

The vibrant youth of Macomb County are brimming with potential, and the 4-H Youth Development Program is dedicated to fostering their growth. We offer enriching hands-on experiences connecting youth with peers, mentors and diverse communities through county, state, national and international programming. Unfortunately, rising costs are preventing many deserving young people from participating. Your support can help us overcome these challenges. Help us empower the next generation of Macomb County leaders.

Project Budget

Your generous contribution will purchase peer reviewed curriculum, educational kits, program scholarships and 4-H Club and volunteer resource materials. 4-H curriculum offers youth learning activities that reinforce Next Generation Science Standards and Michigan Core Standards. Educational kits provide the supplies necessary to experiment and connect with nationally recognized engineers and scientists. Program scholarships assist youth attendance at state, national and global experiences which encourage youth voice and empowerment. Youth are encouraged to start 4-H Clubs focused on project areas they deem important for development of their life skills. 4-H Club Starter Kits provide materials for smooth beginnings.
