Support the Chicano/Latino Studies Program
The Chicano/Latino Studies (CLS) Program at MSU provides access to an inclusive community of scholars dedicated to developing expertise in the historical and contemporary experiences of Chicanx and Latinx groups in social, cultural, political, and economic contexts through prioritizing:
- Interdisciplinary, collaborative education
- Research Training
- Commitment to civic engagement and service
- Culturally responsive one-on-one mentoring and facilitating a community of students, faculty, and staff that contributes to the students' sense of belonging
CLS offers a variety of academic options, including:
- Undergraduate minor
- Graduate Certificate
- PhD
- Dual Major Doctoral Degree
Give to the Chicano/Latino Studies and Help students who are facing a financial emergency.
Founded in 1997, CLS is commemorating its 25th anniversary this year. Your generous support can help us create an emergency fund for CLS students, both undergraduate and graduate, to be able to use in times of need.
"It is vital that the MSU Chicano/Latino Studies Program continues to progress. As the Latinx population at MSU and in the U.S. grows, it is important that Latinx students have the opportunity to learn more about our history and cultures, as well as providing a place where non-Latinx students can learn about the growing community." - Julian Trevino
