The MSU Alumni Office embodies Michigan State University’s world-grant mission to make the world a better place through collective Spartan power. Through engagement and continuing education, the Alumni Office fosters lifelong connections with more than 500,000 Spartans around the world.
University Development works to discover the passions of alumni, donors, corporations and friends to raise support for MSU’s vibrant, academic community. Whether supporting students, faculty, research or outreach, donors can make any type of gift—from stocks, property and charitable trusts to one-time, memorial or recuring gifts—to create lasting, transformative change for generations of future Spartans.
Using the latest technologies, Advancement Services manages information to better support engagement and fundraising activities with alumni, donors and friends.
The enagement team is responsible for executing strategic alumni and donor events; developing integrated donor and alumni communications; stewarding donors and ensuring donor gifts are maximized to contribute to the high quality of education, research and outreach. Publications and events are developed for the purpose of discovery, cultivation and stewardship. The goal is to create unique opportunities to further engage with donors and friends—all in an effort to move future-focused engagement conversations ahead.
