MSU Women’s Club soccer is a 100% student-run and student-funded operation. All players pay to play and represent a school they love and are honored to attend. Students play soccer at a competitive level, but are still able to focus on their studies. Last year, we ended a successful season by competing in the national championship tournament in Foley, Alabama. We made it to the final four last year, and are looking for redemption by winning a national title this year. With this comes a variety of travel and competition expenses. Any donation will help our team represent the Green and White in winning fashion again!
Raising $5,000 will allow our team to compete at the national championship tournament this year in Phoenix, Arizona. Our team loves the school we go to and we are proud that we can get out on the field and use our talents to represent MSU in a positive way.
Donations help with expenses the club comes across in the regular season, and the regional and national tournaments. Any funding we receive alleviates pressure students feel, allowing them to focus on their studies, work, and other commitments. Players pay for field rental, referees, uniforms, travel expenses, and competition registration fees to name a few. Registration fees alone cost over $1,500. Our goal is to raise, and hopefully surpass $5,000 and you can help us do that!
The team is composed of 24 student-athletes and our coach. We have a leadership team of players consisting of a president, vice president, treasurer, and two co-secretaries, but when it comes to supporting each other and helping out when needed, everyone chips in for everyone else. Everyone is active in seeking out ways to provide for the club and to reach our goals, all while representing a school we love.
