Give back to the MSU Libraries as we foster student success and support the entire campus community.

The MSU Libraries are at the center of academic life at Michigan State University, providing expertise, collections, and infrastructure for discovery and creation. Our faculty and staff foster student success by facilitating connections that support their education, providing access to course materials, and supporting exploration of new fields of study through library courses, workshops, and events.

You can help us expand our services, engage with and learn from our users, build positive connections, and take care of our collections.

Your gift will support every member of the Spartan community

This project seeks to further the overall mission and vision of MSU Libraries as we operate at the academic heart of campus by providing funds to expand research and teaching services and to update library spaces to be welcoming and inclusive for all our users.

Each day we approach our services and activities with confidence as we look for effective and innovative ways to ensure the success of our students, scholars and community users. Our liaison and reference librarians leverage their expertise and strong departmental networks to support student and faculty learning and research. Coordinating with campus partners, we have begun a comprehensive space planning effort within the libraries to ensure that all who enter our facilities have access to a welcoming and productive space to pursue their academic goals.

Project needs

The MSU Libraries facilitate connections between people, services and resources across campus. Part of building these connections is providing up-to-date and accessible spaces that are conducive to learning. Many of our buildings are over 50 years old, and we consistently work to revitalize them to create inclusive and accessible spaces that support a variety of learning needs. We also seek to stay at the forefront of digital learning by optimizing our digital spaces, providing cutting-edge technology and software, and emphasizing accessibility for all digital material.

Your support will help make a difference as we work to create a physical space and culture that supports and strengthens teaching, learning and curricular partnership on campus.

Who We Are

The MSU Libraries are comprised of numerous faculty and staff members who work to ensure student success. We collaborate with our colleagues on campus to help students develop the critical thinking skills necessary to navigate an increasingly complicated information landscape, skills which will benefit their academic, personal and eventually professional lives. We are here to support MSU communities, to teach from our collections and resources and to learn from our users
