Give students confidence to succeed at career fairs and interviews!

For many students, getting access to appropriate and professional attire for career fairs, interviews and networking events is a struggle. The Career Closet, hosted by the Career Services Network in partnership with ASMSU, provides MSU students with free access to new and gently used business casual and professional attire to help make a great first impression and feel confident in their interactions with employers and with graduate school admissions teams.

In addition to being able to borrow clothing, shoes, and accessories, students also receive tips on how to dress for success and build their professional brand.

Your Support Will Help Students Achieve their Career Goals

By providing students with access to clothing that fits and makes them feel confident, you are removing a major barrier to their participation in career fairs and recruiting events. Ultimately, you are helping them compete for jobs, internships, and even graduate school admissions.

New Career Closet hosted within the Student Services Building and Career Services Network office suite. See it here!

Help Fund this Important Student Service

Ongoing financial support is needed for staffing the center with student assistants and for purchasing new clothing, shoes, and accessories when sizes or quantities are not sufficient to meet demand. For every $25 received, the Career Closet is able to support the needs of 3 MSU students.

About the Career Services Network

The Career Services Network assists students in all stages of professional development, including exploring career options, choosing a major, finding campus employment, securing a meaningful internship experience, applying to graduate or professional school, and conducting a full-time job search. The Network’s service delivery model is a hybrid model and considered best-in-class because of the integrated partnerships that are maintained across the many colleges within the University and the positioning of career service professionals within each college who provide specialized services and support to students, employers, and recent alumni. In total, the Network operates in 17 locations across campus and provides a full range of virtual support and services, too.
