Make a Difference Giving to Michigan State University

Why I #GiveGreen

MSU students always find a way to make a positive difference and improve their communities.

Student gifts help make the life-changing opportunities an MSU education provides possible for all current and future Spartans. Private support powers many of the programs, services and resources that benefit all students. Learn why these students have decided to give back to the programs that mean the most to them at MSU.

"I contribute to the MSU Student Food Bank because it is important to help our community of students and neighbors in a time of need. Having food to eat is a necessity to ensure one's success at school, work and other activities throughout their day. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to give back to my MSU community!"

"I am giving back on Give Green Day because I want to help give back to a community that has helped me. I want to support CAPS, the counseling center that is available to every student on campus free of charge. It is important to students to give back to projects that make campus a better place for everyone."

"Contributing to your personal college, like the College of Business for me, can help pave the way for thousands of students to have an even higher level of education and learning. I give back so that those who attend Michigan State after I graduate can experience an even better education than I have!"

"Giving back to the Senior Class Campaign is important to me because during my four years at MSU, I have been supported in countless ways by organizations that I care deeply about, like the Multicultural Business Programs. When I give back, I know that I am paving the way for the generations that are coming after me. From one Spartan to another, it is important to lift others as we climb, so I try do that in whatever way I can."

"The world is going through hard times. Throughout these difficulties students need support. They are the vulnerable ones because they are not only facing psychological issues but also, they are confronting financial crises as well. I donated money to students because I am also a student and I want to give something back to my university."

"I give back to the Center for Survivors-Sexual Assault Program because it's my job as a Spartan to support my fellow students and community to the best of my ability. And I encourage every Spartan to support the Survivors program this Give Green Day!"

"It was important for me to give back to ensure future Spartans have the same invaluable experience I had as a member of the James Madison College Human Rights Lab. Throughout my two years with the lab, I’ve grown as a student and as an individual. The work we do doesn’t just make a difference in the world; it also builds better Spartan students."

"Giving back to the university is so important because it provides individuals with the necessary tools to succeed in their academic careers. I plan to give back to the Student Emergency Fund on Give Green Day in order to help those who need it most during these trying times."
