empower opportunity and success
LEADERSHIP CIRCLE recognizes donors whose annual gifts of $1,000 or more help pave the way for student success and deliver extraordinary opportunities for learning and discovery at Michigan State.
Giving at the leadership level opens doors of opportunity for both current and future Spartans. Whether for academics, research, athletics, or the arts, annual leadership gifts ensure students are on a path to success and well on their way to having an extraordinary impact in Michigan, the country, and beyond.
Leadership circle Levels of giving

impact of leadership giving
In fiscal year 2018, more than 10,000 donors gave leadership gifts that supported everything from scholarships to technology updates to study abroad programs. Meet a few of our leaders in giving below and find out how their gifts made an immediate difference.
Adrienne Dresevic, MSU Parent
“I know that students are having such an excellent experience at MSU. I want to support that because I think Michigan State is great.”
Matthew Anderson (’09)
“I was given so much as a Spartan student. The university, faculty, staff and alumni provided me with opportunities that enriched my life. Now it’s my turn to give back.”
Bill (’71) and Sandy (’70) Mason
“You’re supposed to take care of the things and people you care about. And that’s what we’re doing, because we care about MSU a lot.”
