Send MSU Pompon to the 2024 - 2025 Mid American High Kick and Collegiate Championships!
The Michigan State University Pompon team needs your help to attend the 2024 - 2025 Mid American High Kick and Collegiate Championships. For the 2024 - 2025 season, we have a team of 21 members. The costs associated with this event are high and paid per individual team member, but with your generosity and support we can aspire to compete again this season!
Your Support Will Make a Big Difference
Michigan State University Pompon functions solely on fundraising efforts, sponsorships, and donations. Because we are affiliated as a club sport at Michigan State, we do not receive funding from the university. All expenses that occur throughout the season are covered through the fundraising efforts of the team. The money we raise through this CrowdPower campaign will be utilized to send our team to the 2024 Mid American High Kick Collegiate Championship occurring in November and the Mid American Collegiate Championships in early 2025.
The Mid American High Kick Collegiate Championship is a competition in which collegiate teams compete against one another in a themed “high kick” performance. The premise of the high kick competition is to create a performance based on superior kick skill with a surrounding theme. At the 2024 Collegiate Championships, the team will perform a more traditional pom routine, incorporating colorful visuals and innovative choreography. To get a better understanding of what our past performances have looked like you can always visit our YouTube page.
In the past, our team has received recognition at High Kick for placing 3rd in 2014, 2nd in 2015, 2018, 2019, 2021, and 2022, 2023, 2024 and earning 1st place in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2016, and 2017. At the Collegiate Championships we have been awarded 2nd in 2011, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2019, 2020, 2022 and 2023, 2024 and 1st place in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2012, and 2018. We are proud of our accomplishments and how they contribute to Michigan State Pompon’s legacy of hard work and team unity.
Project Budget
We fund 100% of our own operating expenses, which is why your gift is monumental to our program. The money will be specifically used to fund competition fees, costumes, props, music cutting, facility rental for practice space, and other miscellaneous performance expenses such as hair, make up, etc.
Your donation is the difference between whether or not we have the ability to represent Michigan State University in the sport of pompon this season.
Our overall fundraising goal is to meet or surpass $16,000 and you can help us do this!
Who We Are
Michigan State University Pompon was the first-ever traditional Mid American style pompon team formally established at the collegiate level. Since the team’s creation in 2005, numerous other collegiate programs have been formed. We are thrilled at the growth of the sport at the collegiate level and hope that other programs will continue to emerge.
MSU Pompon strives to promote value through team unity, enthusiasm, school spirit and loyalty, community involvement, and philanthropic endeavors. Our program provides a supportive academic and athletic environment for students involved by teaching life skills including time management, the importance of collaboration, responsibility, and outreach. Overall, the objective of MSU Pompon is to develop positive role models and ambassadors of Michigan State University and the sport of pompon.
