Supply Chain Management (SCM) Student Experience Fund

MSU SCM Students at ASCM Conference in 2019As our Broad College SCM students prepare for and begin their careers, there are many experiences (e.g., deep learning/certification in an area, hands-on exposure to new technology, etc.) that cannot always be delivered in the classroom. Many students want to invest their time into these experiences but discover that there may be financial barriers that cannot easily be overcome.

The SCM Student Experience Fund has been established as a source of funds that our almost 900 students across program could access to support developmental co-curricular experiences. These funds would be used to sponsor program-wide access to identified experiences and/or targeted support for those students with a specific financial need.

Give to the Supply Chain Management Student Experience Fund and help support the experiential development needs of our Supply Chain Management students.

SCM students in a virtual class. The SCM Student Experience Fund would enable students to defray expenses with obtaining certifications (e.g., green belt), participate in organized alternative spring break trips (sponsored by the SCMA), fund departmental workshops in important topics like additive manufacturing.  Further, this fund can provide support for those students suffering financial hardship in the form of scholarships, facilitating access to interview attire, laptops, emergency cash needs, travel, etc.

MSU #1 in Undergraduate Supply Chain Programs!Who We Are: The Department of Supply Chain Management at Michigan State University

The SCM Department is home to the #1 Undergraduate and Graduate Supply Chain Management Programs in the country (US News & World Report). As Broad College faculty and staff, we see the amazing commitment our SCM students have in preparing for their careers and would like to have a funding mechanism to help those students who are investing in themselves outside the classroom.
