MSU Seniors Support the Spartan Success Scholars
MSU Seniors are supporting the Spartan Success Scholars as a part of the 2017-2018 Senior Class Campaign.
The overall goal of the Spartan Success Scholars Program is to address retention, persistence, and graduation rates. Many of our Spartan Success Scholars are first-generation college students, meaning they are the first in their family to go to college. The program provides support to these students during their first year at MSU.
Your Donation Supports our Spartan Success Scholars
The project will fund scholastic and social events for Spartan Success Scholars across campus. Events are facilitated by the Spartan Success Scholar Coaching Program - a peer mentor program specifically for Spartan Success Scholars. The program aims to ease the academic and social transition of the first year and connect first-generation college students to resources and mentors. Coaches guide Spartan Success Scholars in the areas of academic proficiency, institutional navigation, and socio-emotional engagement.
Feel free to contact the Spartan Success Scholar Coach Coordinator, Christina Finley, at email@example.com for more information!
Money from this CrowdPower can help students by providing opportunites like:
- Scholarships for books
- Social and networking events
- Study abroad opportunities
- Activities known to support academic success
