Marty Clark Memorial Endowed Scholarship

Being an MSU Greenline student caller is hard work but like many other students, we found that the relationships we developed with our co-workers kept us going. One of those people was Marty Clark. He was a mentor and a friend—intelligent, loyal, and so much fun to be around. He challenged you to be the best version of yourself and he had a way of bringing people together.

When Marty passed, we immediately knew that making a gift in his memory to MSU Greenline would be the right way to honor his impact on the program (and on us). Working alongside Marty’s family and friends to help establish this endowment means a lot to us. Being able to provide scholarships to MSU Greenline students that exemplify the qualities everyone really loved about Marty keeps his spirit alive and rewards those that do their part to make working at the “best job on campus” such an incredible life-changing experience.

If Marty had an impact on you—inside or outside the walls of the “TM room”—and if MSU Greenline rewarded you with more than just a paycheck, we hope you’ll consider joining us in making a contribution to the Marty Clark Endowed Scholarship at a level that’s significant to you.

Help Us Reach Our Goal

To ensure Marty’s memory and the scholarship lasts, we have to reach MSU’s minimum funding of $50,000 by 2020 to solidify this as an endowed scholarship. With only $7,400 to go until we reach our goal, your support will help us close the gap.

Marty Clark Memorial Endowed Scholarship

The Marty Clark Memorial Endowed Scholarship awards a small scholarship to an MSU Greenline employee each year.

In 2017, the scholarship was awarded to Megan Chandler, who epitomizes everything the scholarship stands for. Megan is a senior at MSU and holds an HR manager role within MSU Greenline. After being awarded the scholarship last year, Megan had a summer-long internship with Robert Bosch LLC as the Senior HR intern. In her role, she created job descriptions, held events for interns and worked to recruit interns for full-time employment. With her impressive resume and experience in the field, Megan has landed a full-time position with Amazon as a Senior HR Assistant after she walks across the stage in May.

This year, we will be awarding another $1,000 scholarship to an MSU Greenline student who exemplifies Marty’s passion for MSU, the values he had as a student employee, and most importantly the virtues he had as a caring person.
