Feast Your Eyes Fundraising Campaign

We are a group of dedicated filmmakers that are a part of the Michigan State University Fiction Filmmaking Minor. We were given two semesters to find a script, assign positions, cast actors and find locations. We went through all stages of the production process within that time. We wrote and scheduled everything within that first semester block. The second semester block was used to finish up filming but mostly used for the editing process. This fast paced and stressful experience has given our filmmakers a taste of what it’s like to be a filmmaker in a professional environment.

Your Support Will Make a Big Difference

This class helps students build their portfolio. It will not only help them apply for jobs but also help them realize what jobs they would like to do in the future. This project will also serve as a riveting thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Project Budget

The money raised will be used for the following:

  • Festival Entry Fees
  • Film Equipment
  • Props
  • Locations
  • Any money left over will be passed down to next year’s capstone class

Student Impact:

Danielle Pollak (Director): This capstone is important to all student filmmakers because it allows us hands-on experience working in the end-to-end production workflow. This opportunity allows all of us to grow as filmmakers and learn more about the different roles and responsibilities that go into productions. This experience has been beneficial to me because it allowed me to grow as a creative and learn from the challenges along the way. This whole year has been an incredible learning experience and has taught me so much!

Summer Groenke (Production Designer & Location Manager): Taking on the position as the Production Designer on Feast Your Eyes has been very beneficial to my future. I’ve gotten to be hands on throughout the entire film. It has helped my passion for the arts grow into a position I’ve never tried out before. It opened new doors into future projects.

Megan Lear (Camera Operator): My role in this production was the camera operator. I've had experience in this department before, so I went into it thinking I wasn’t going to learn much. Boy, was I wrong. I was able to work very closely with the cinematographer of this film, who helped me come to realize that I wanted to be one as well. I’m now the cinematographer for a new production and without this class, without Feast Your Eyes, I never would’ve had the confidence to take on this role.
