Demonstration Hall Commemorative Plaza
Historical Demonstration Hall has been a Michigan State University landmark, and the home of MSU Army ROTC for almost a century. Last year’s Dem Hall Plaza Project upgraded the flagpole area at Dem Hall with a commemorative plaza and historical signage worthy of the proud history of these Spartans.
The plaza consists of a beautiful brick and concrete path outside the main entrance of Dem Hall. Two benches flank the plaza entrance from Kalamazoo street, with historical signage detailing the history and importance of Dem Hall.
Give to the Dem Hall Plaza Project and be a part of history.
Thanks to generous support from friends and alumni, this project was completed in the fall of 2022 with a dedication ceremony on Veterans Day. The Plaza Project continues to offer opportunities to share Spartan Stories and at the same time support the Spartan Battalion and beautify the campus near Dem Hall. We are accepting gifts in support of the plaza project and will place the bricks during the summer months. If you wish to have a brick engraved, please make your gift before May 31, 2023. Please direct any questions about your brick engraving to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Gifts of any size will support our student cadets – gifts of $250 and above are eligible to have a brick engraved on the plaza.
- For a gift of $500+, engrave your message on an 8in. x 8in. brick in the plaza.
- For a gift of $250-$499, engrave your message on a 4in. x 8in. brick in the plaza.
- For a gift of $100-$249, receive a special commemorative coin from the Army ROTC Spartans in appreciation of your efforts to help make this dream a reality.
*Brick ordering information will be sent to qualifying donors at a later date.
