Help Students Study Away in Canada
Michigan State University has been intentionally global for more than 60 years, a time span that includes the Canadian Studies Center. Just as the center has grown to be the longest serving Canada-focused center in the United States, the university has become known worldwide as a top research university with over a half million alumni spanning the universe.
Our mission is to ensure that all students at Michigan State University, irrespective of demographic background, academic discipline, or financial need, have an opportunity to actively engage in international study. The Center wants that experience to include a visit with our neighbors to the north, Canada.
There is nothing like a visit to someone’s home to gain understanding of their role in the community, and in this case, Canada’s role in the world. Our center supports student-learning excursions and travel to Canada for an experience of unique cultural traditions, a view of the vast natural resources, and a sense of the nation’s entrepreneurial spirit.
Your Support Will Make a Big Difference
MSU’s Canadian Studies Center invites you to help make education abroad programs in Canada accessible to Michigan State University students.
Through the center’s Know Canada Initiative our goal is to raise funds to provide at least three scholarships to MSU students planning to study away in Canada in the coming year.
Who We Are
The Canadian Studies Center is the hub for Michigan State University’s Canada-related research and engagement. Our mission is to research and inform the broader community about all aspects of Canada, particularly its connection and contribution to a global society.
