March 1, 2023Every day MSU advances to new heights of excellence because of Spartan students pursuing their dreams, studying with passion and striving to make a difference. These students are the positive changemakers of tomorrow, and many of them are supported by scholarships.
Scholarship support means a lot to students like Alex Koyoc, a first-generation student studying Linguistics in the College of Arts and Letters. “Having scholarship support will always help me drastically.” Not only do scholarships give students the financial support to attend MSU, but they also give them the focus and confidence to succeed in their classes. Alex feels supported in multiple ways, "from literal financing to mental security that I have the opportunity to be educated and make the life I want for my family. It also makes me more grateful for what I have and can accomplish.”
Scholarships are a focal point of Give Green Day; a 24-hour community effort of Spartans and friends of MSU to support students and create a brighter tomorrow.
