PAYROLL DEDUCT IS EASIER THAN EVER

EBS Tab puts automated giving at your fingertips

Are you a current MSU faculty or staff member? If so, are you looking for an effortless way to give back to the causes you care about at the university? If you answered yes to both of those questions, you might consider giving via payroll deduction.

All employees have the option of having their gift to MSU deducted from their paychecks, either in one lump sum or over a specified period of time. Many MSU employees find payroll deduction an easy and convenient way to make their gifts to the university.

And to make this option even easier for current faculty and staff, you can start the arrangements instantly by logging in to EBS and clicking on “My Time & Payroll” tab, then selecting the “Donate to MSU with Payroll Deductions” tile to set up a recurring gift that will be deducted from your paychecks—simple as that!

A new window will open to the University Advancement gift cart where you can one or more areas of MSU you would like to support.

Once you select areas for your gift, you then designate the dollar amount per paycheck. The default is monthly for a one-year period, but there are additional options for bi-weekly and partial-year employees. You can also select to have the deduction renewed annually. Here is a sample of what that might look like.

Note that the minimum amount that can be deducted from your paycheck is $5 per pay period.

You can also make changes at any time. For monthly employees, changes to payroll deduction must occur before the 15th of each month in order to impact that month’s paycheck; for bi-weekly employees changes must be made two weeks prior to the pay period.
