Unpaid Internship Award Fund
The MSU Career Services Network Internship Award Fund unlocks opportunity for undergraduate students in fields not offering paid internships. This fund enables Spartans to affordably gain experiential learning opportunities that are integral to helping them develop skills, apply classroom learning, and improve their employability.
In addition, this donor-funded program helps ensure student access to opportunities provided by small businesses, nonprofits and start-up companies who benefit from our skilled and diverse graduates.
Your Support Will Make a Big Difference in Helping Undergraduate Students Afford Integral Experiential Learning
Since the fund launched in 2012, nearly 600 students have benefitted from the generosity of donors. However, annually we receive nearly four times more applications than we can support. The awards students receive help them pay expenses that would otherwise prohibit their participation in an experiential learning opportunity, primarily due to temporary housing and transportation expenses.
More importantly, these experiences help students explore career interests, establish career goals, develop their network, build professional skills, and connect learning and classroom activities to work.
Who We Are
The Career Services Network is a campus-wide network of career services professionals co-located within colleges throughout campus. We offer a broad range of support, resources, and services to students, employers, and recent alumni. For students, regardless of major, these services include job and internship search strategies, career advising, career assessment tools, graduate school resources, interview preparation, resume reviews, and career planning assistance.
Additionally, we connect employers to Spartan talent through planning and executing numerous career fairs, employer networking events, professional development workshops, industry tours, and on-campus interviews, and we manage thousands of full-time, part-time and internship job postings.
Please consider making a gift today to ensure current and future Spartans receive the experiences needed to get ahead in the modern workforce.
