Gender and Sexuality Campus Center (GSCC) Unconditional Love Fund
The Unconditional Love Fund was created to provide students who engage with the Gender and Sexuality Campus Center with flexible assistance in a timely manner to address extraordinary and unexpected financial hardships. Funds are available to students who apply to the Gender and Sexuality Campus Center who are unable to meet immediate, essential expenses due to temporary hardship related to unforeseen or emergency situations. This funding does not need to be repaid. Financial awards are made available to assist students with expenses that support their health, wellness, and safety.
Just this year the Unconditional Love Fund has provided over $25,000 in much needed support for students.
Your Support Makes a Big Difference.
"I do not have a financial support system in place to fall back onto because my parents do not accept that I am queer. So this fund was just what I needed during my lowest point this year. I plan to contribute to this fund once I have the means to because it had such a positive impact on my life." - Past ULF recipient, College of Social Science, class of 2026
"The Unconditional Love Fund has provided opportunities for me that I otherwise would not be able to. Transitioning is one of the most expensive things that any college student can go through, from clothes, medicine, voice training, name changes, and even medical procedures. On top of an already expensive university experience, being transgender on campus is a financial burden. The Unconditional Love Fund has provided very important financial support to assist in ensuring I feel safe and affirmed, and without it, I would not be able to have reliable access to the things I need to survive." - Past ULF recipient, James Madison College, class of 2026

We provide intersectional educational and social programming and collaborate with student leaders and campus partners to build community and increase a sense of belonging.
