Roscommon County 4-H Asks Your Help!
Roscommon County 4-H is growing and we need your help to support this growth! Our members are connected with dedicated 4-H volunteers, who are bringing programs to kids through face-to-face hands-on 4-H clubs. We have the newest local 4-H organization with the recent establishment of the Roscommon County 4-H Council.
Your Roscommon County 4-H Council is excited to be a part of the CrowdPower campaign as we work hard to grow our program into each part of the county to help more kids experience 4-H in our communities like Houghton Lake, St. Helen, Roscommon & Higgins Lake. The 4-H Council is a newly established group, so the funds we are able to raise are very necessary and will be allocated for the more immediate use in our 4-H program.
Your Support Will Make a Big Difference
Your contribution will allow us to continue offering free and low-cost programs such as:
- $250 to support 4-H Cloverbud Camp, a camp for 5-7 year old 4-H members as well as our regional 4-H camping program.
- $250 support supplies for 4-H SPIN Clubs (our short-term clubs are able to engage youth in learning about photography, junk drawer robotics, food and nutrition, cooking, community service, environmental science, and more).
- $200 for additional workshops, such as crafts and science.
- $300 to support equipment and supplies for 4-H clubs, such as curricula, printing, and other resources.
How Will Your Support Help Local Youth?
4-H youth will need program scholarships as we strive to engage more kids in the statewide and regional fun events of our 4-H program. One of the most popular programs is our annual 4-H Exploration Days held on MSU's campus. Another popular program is the Central Region 4-H Camp, which is held with an alliance of several local counties. With the 4-H Council scholarships we are able to provide, we are able to help families pay less than $75 per camper for the three-day camp.
