Support the Marilyn J. Amey Scholarship Endowment Fund!

The impact great educators have on their students is immeasurable. We can all reflect on our own educational journey and remember fondly those who had the most impact on our success. One name that stands out is Dr. Marilyn Amey.    

Dr. Amey is a professor in the Higher, Adult, and Lifelong Education (HALE) program and immediate past chairperson of the Department of Educational Administration. In 2017, she was appointed as the Dr. Mildred B. Erickson Distinguished Chair in Higher, Adult and Lifelong Education; and as of July of 2021, emerita Erickson Chair. 

As we celebrate Dr. Amey's years of dedication to MSU students, several HALE graduates worked in collaboration with university leaders to create a scholarship in Marilyn’s name for HALE graduate students to help support their financial needs. This is a cause near and dear to Dr. Amey’s, as she saw first-hand the opportunities lost due to a lack of graduate scholarships in the program.

By donating to the scholarship, you will be honoring Dr. Amey and the impact she’s made at MSU by providing support for future HALE graduates to continue to build on the legacy of her work in the HALE program.
