Preparing Teachers for the Global Classroom

Today’s teachers and educators must appreciate and understand their work within the context of a global society. The College of Education and International Studies and Programs at Michigan State University are committed to the advancement of global citizenship through learning experiences that promote knowledge, understanding and competence of the world around us.

Preparing educators for success in today’s global context

The Preparing Teachers for Global Classrooms Endowed Scholarship helps make global learning and education abroad opportunities available and accessible to future educators. The fund’s impact extends to students enrolled across the university, empowers future teachers as global citizens, and inspires global learning in their future classrooms.

MSU's commitment to global education

Michigan State University is creating empowered global leaders and citizens through its nationally-ranked education programs and more than 60 years of engaged teaching, research, and outreach around the world. MSU’s international work is guided and supported by International Studies and Programs (ISP), a platform that supports international efforts through area and thematic studies centers, internationally focused service units, and student and scholar support offices. ISP works across the university to elevate MSU’s success in securing international research and development projects through the development of new global partnership models and initiatives.

For any questions on how to support MSU’s global engagement, contact Daniel Spadafore, senior director of International Advancement.
