Support the "Liv On" - Olivia Long Memorial Scholarship

On August 27th, 2021, Olivia Long passed away due to injuries that she sustained in a tragic car accident. Olivia was a dedicated co-captain, an enthusiastic teammate, and most importantly, an incredible friend. 

In honor of Olivia, MSU Athletics seeks to raise $25,000 for the "Liv On" - Olivia W. Long Memorial Scholarship.

Soon after Olivia’s passing, her parents received donations from family, friends and even strangers to honor Olivia’s legacy of dedication, having a positive outlook and her desire to create an inclusive environment where everyone felt welcome. Additional contributions were made from fundraising efforts, such as a memorial volleyball tournament, coordinated by her fellow MSU friends and teammates. Together with these generous donations over the past months, Olivia’s family is dedicating $25,000 to this scholarship as a matching gift. With your support, a scholarship endowment can be established to support MSU Rowing students.
