MSUBA-Oakland County Journey to Fully Funding Our Endowment
In 2017 we hosted our inaugural Green and White gala and utilized proceeds to establish our named endowment under the MSUBA umbrella! Marginalized students continue to need assistance and this scholarship is designed to support students residing in, or attending a high school in, Oakland County, Michigan.
Your gift to the MSUBA-Oakland County Spartans Endowment helps future Spartans with their tuition costs and college expenses. Thank you for your support of our journey to fully endow this scholarship.
Thanks to our generous supporters we have have raised nearly $20,000 of the $50,000 minimum required amount to begin to give scholarship awards from the endowment. Your participation in, and support for, our 2023 Green & White Gala will help us move closer to our goal!
Please consider donating in increments of 1855 ($18.55, $185.50, $1,855) in commemoration of the year Michigan State University was founded. You can consider donating in increments of 2015 ($20.15, $201.15, $2015) in commemoration of the MSUBA-OC chapter establishment. You can also donate any amount and share this campaign with others who are committed to supporting Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion efforts.
We currently use our expendable account to award scholarship recipients and our first scholarship award was in 2018.
Who We Are
Michigan State University Black Alumni Oakland County Chapter (MSUBA-OC) was chartered in 2015 to support and cultivate an environment for current and future Black Spartans by engaging with the community and being the primary resource to maximize their connection to Michigan State University. MSUBA-OC is a local extension of the national MSU Black Alumni Inc. chartered in 1980 under the auspices of the MSU Alumni Office.
