Student Veterans Resource Center

Here at MSU, we are committed to veteran success. The Student Veterans Resource Center (SVRC) exists to help military veterans and their families achieve academic and personal success. The SVRC is staffed by military veterans and dependents with a strong passion for helping our students.

Give to the Student Veterans Resource Center and help provide opportunities for Spartan veterans today!

One of the more impactful ways we support our military-connected students is through opportunities for service and experiential learning. In the past, we’ve sent students to conferences, worked with our students to clean and mark military veteran graves at our community cemeteries, and pay for professional development in their chosen career field.

Here are just some of the services and resources provided by the SVRC that gifts from the MSU community help suppprt:

  • Career counseling and employment/internship opportunities
  • Scholarship opportunities
  • Space for meetings, studying, and socializing
  • Personalized academic resources
  • VA benefits and health information
  • Financial aid application support
  • Transition services
  • Referrals to many other programs and services both on and off campus

Your gift will also help our Spartan Veterans feel at home at the SVRC by providing a comforting place to gather and connect with one another.

  • $5 = A “Spartan Veterans” t-shirt for a Spartan student veteran
  • $10 = A academic planner for a military-connected student
  • $50 = Snacks in the student veteran lounge for a month
  • $100 = Food for a student veteran organization meeting

We know our military-connected students have a desire to serve their communities. They’ve shown that they will step up and answer the call to service, but we need help from donors to provide opportunities for them.

This fundraising project is run through the director of the Student Veterans Resource Center. The director oversees the project funding and ensures that the program team leader and peer advisors are hired and trained and provides them with student data. The team leader oversees the advisors, making sure they are meeting required advising benchmarks and ensuring they are trained.
