MSU Alumni Chapel Restoration

Some met their special Spartan valentine during their time as a student on campus. Others found their true love outside of MSU but connected through a shared love for the Green and White. And some have been lucky enough to say “I do” in the historic Alumni Memorial Chapel at Michigan State University. Every Spartan love story is different, but they all contribute to the timeless history of our beloved MSU. In honor of your special Spartan, help preserve a cherished campus landmark that has been bringing Spartans together for generations.

Paid for entirely by alumni of MSU, the Alumni Memorial Chapel was officially dedicated in 1952 in honor of all Spartans who have fallen in the line of military duty. In addition to honoring these 589 fallen Spartan heroes, the chapel also serves as a spiritual and ceremonial center for all faiths and religions. Only MSU students, faculty, staff, alumni, and their parents/grandparents may reserve the chapel for a wide variety of ceremonies. In a normal year, over 160 weddings take place in the chapel, often three ceremonies on Saturdays.

Support the restoration of windows at the MSU Alumni Chapel

Faith WindowThe beauty of the chapel lies in its thirty-eight stained glass windows. Over the years the windows have weathered and deteriorated. Funds are needed to restore and protect the windows so they can be preserved for future generations of Spartans.

In this campaign, we are raising funds to restore a beautiful window set above the entrance to the chapel honoring Faith (pictured on the right). Donations will be used to install a clear protective outer shield to prevent any exterior damage to the window, fully restore faded colors and ensure that the window is weatherized and energy-efficient.

A special commemoration will be installed in the chapel to celebrate the donors who make a gift to this project and wish to be recognized. Join fellow Spartans and make a gift today in honor of your special Spartan!
