Missaukee County 4-H
4-H members in Missaukee County have the opportunity to connect with their peers and volunteers through online programs, at home program kits, and future face-to-face hands-on experiences.
With your support we can expand access to those opportunities for young people in Missaukee County.
Support Missaukee County 4-H program
Your contribution will provide the opportunity to purchase updated educational curriculum/equipment, virtual programming needs (including supplies for kits to send to members), and program scholarships for camps, including Exploration Days.
With much of Missaukee County without high-speed internet, programming via Zoom and other streaming services does not meet the needs of our area youth. Instead we are planning to offer at least one kit of hands-on activities per month until face-to-face programming can resume. Kits on average cost $20 per youth.
Last year the need for scholarships for just Exploration Days exceed available funds by nearly $1000. In addition, several youth applied for scholarship funding to attend other 4-H camps.
About Missaukee County 4-H
We face unprecedented times. However, your support is still needed to help today’s youth become tomorrow’s leaders.
4-H is a youth development program of Michigan State University Extension located in Missaukee County. Gracie Bisballe, Logan Creger and many more 4-H youth are excited to grow the local program here in Missaukee County.
