Eaton County 4-H

Eaton County 4-H is growing current and future leaders in our community. As part of the largest youth development organization in Michigan, Eaton County 4-H provides youth with experiential learning opportunities to explore new interests and discover their passion. With your support we can expand access to those opportunities for young people in Eaton County.

Your Support Will Make a Big Difference

In the summer of 2021, MSU Extension announced the elimination of the $20 4-H Participation Fee that was charged to youth participants and families to participate in programming annually. A portion of the 4-H Participation Fee, approximately $2,500 annually, was used to support Eaton County 4-H programs and allowed us to offer many programs for free or at a reduced cost to families in our community. Your contribution will help close this new funding gap for our local community programs and allow us to continue offering a variety of Eaton County programming for the 2021-2022 4-H program year.

Project Budget

Your contribution will allow us to continue offering free and low-cost programs such as:

  • $500 to support 4-H Cloverbud Camp, our annual camp for 5-7 year olds.
  • $1000 to support supplies for 4-H SPIN Clubs (our short term clubs, previous SPIN club topics have engaged youth in learning about photography, junk drawer robotics, food and nutrition, cooking, community service, environmental science, social and emotional health, and more).
  • $500 for additional workshops, such as crafts and science.
  • $500 to support equipment and supplies for 4-H clubs, such as curricula, printing, and other resources.

Support youth as they learn about leadership, teamwork, responsibility, resiliency, and problem solving through technology and engineering, animal science, food and nutrition, gardening, environmental science, crafts, and other activities!
