College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (CANR) Whole Student Success Fund

Student success is often measured by grades and graduation rates. But for College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (CANR) students facing emergency situations or financial hardships, success may mean being able to pay rent, afford groceries, or access the health and wellness resources needed to navigate everyday life. For others it could be finding funding to cover the cost of textbooks or unanticipated travel expenses.

The CANR Whole Student Success fund was created to help our students address these critical, time-sensitive needs, such as food insecurity, housing expenses, technology gaps, and other emergency situations that may create funding barriers to academic achievement.

Your gift to the CANR Whole Student Success Fund will directly benefit students in need by removing roadblocks on the path to graduation. The Whole Student Success Fund helps address common challenges such as:

  • The average college textbook costs $100-$150. Support from the Whole Student Success Fund can help students offset the cost of these important resources.
  • $250 can help students experiencing food insecurity cover the cost of groceries for a month.
  • Less than $1,000 can help a student dealing with temporary housing due to loss of a job or financial challenges.
  • Less than $1,000 can help students facing technology gaps acquire the tools and educational resources needed to successfully engage in evolving academic environments.
  • Offsetting the cost of publication fees can be a huge difference maker for graduate students that need to publish research to take the next step in their education or career, but those fees can range from $2,500-$10,000+ per publication.

Your support makes a makes an extraordinary difference!

CANR students are the next generation of leaders and innovators. But without the resources and support they need to make it to graduation; we may never see the impact they can make. During this season of giving, join the CANR community by making a gift that directly supports our students and helps them reach their full potential.
