Being a Greenline student caller is tough work. But like many other students, we found that the relationships we developed with our co-workers kept us going. One of those relationships was with Marty Clark. He was a mentor and a friend—intelligent, loyal and so much fun to be around. He challenged you to be the best version of yourself and he had a way of bringing people together.
When Marty passed, we immediately knew that making a gift in his memory to MSU Greenline would be the right way to honor his impact on the program (and on us). Working alongside Marty’s family and friends to help establish this endowment means a lot to us. Being able to provide scholarships to students who work for MSU Greenline and exemplify the qualities we all loved about Marty will keep his spirit alive and reward those who do their part to make working at the “best job on campus” such an incredible, life-changing experience.
If Marty had an impact on you—inside or outside the walls of the “TM room”—and if MSU Greenline rewarded you with more than just a paycheck, I hope you’ll consider joining us in making a contribution to the Marty Clark Endowed Scholarship at a level that’s significant to you.
To solidify this as an endowed scholarship and ensure Marty’s memory lasts, we have to reach MSU’s minimum fundraising goal of $50,000 within five years. Otherwise we run the risk of this scholarship turning into an expendable scholarship, meaning the scholarship will only be awarded for a finite period of time.
Through lead gifts and pledges from family and friends of Marty, we are pacing to reach our $50,000 goal within five years, but every bit of incremental support helps us reach our goal that much sooner.
This fund is already generating a small scholarship, but by reaching the MSU minimum, we will create a more impactful scholarship for a worthy student.
Fundraising efforts for this scholarship are being coordinated by friends and family of Marty.
