Refresh: Alumni Memorial Chapel Dressing Rooms
Were you married at the Alumni Memorial Chapel? Do you have a special memory in the space?
Dedicated on June 7, 1952, weddings were already taking place in the unique spaces at the Alumni Memorial Chapel by August of that year. Since then, thousands of MSU students, alumni, and community members have chosen the chapel for their wedding ceremonies, vow renewals and more. Located on the beautiful campus of Michigan State University, the chapel has served as an important piece of, not only the campus history, but also the momentous histories of families across generations. The Chapel has served as a spiritual and ceremonial center for all faiths and religions for over 70 years.
Your Support Will Make a Big Difference
We are raising funds to refresh the dressing rooms in the lower level, offering an updated space for our couples to get ready on their special day. Donations will be used to purchase love seats, lounge chairs, side tables and other décor to refresh the space and make it welcoming for all. Project Budget
This project will focus on a refresh for each dressing room, including updated furniture, artwork, lighting, and more.
The cost would be approximately $8,000 for the dressing room suite and approximately $8,000 for the dressing room.
Who We Are
The Director of the MSU Union and Alumni Memorial Chapel, Cathy Fitzpatrick, is working on this project along with Celia Cosme-Brooks, the Facilities Director for the MSU Union and Ashley Latinen, Designer for Student Life & Engagement’s Planning and Projects Office. Hanna Fanson, Chapel Coordinator, will be consulted as well.
