Help MSU Keep its PromisesMarch 31, 2016
MSU wants to do everything it can to accept and welcome every young person who dreams of the difference he or she can make with an MSU education. But, to fulfill those dreams, financial aid is essential every year—to those that need it, and to those that merit it.
Take Marco Lin and Colin White for example.
With your help through Promise Scholarship support, Marco, a kinesiology major and Honors College student, is getting ready for medical school—and the expenses that come with it. Offsetting some of the costs of his undergraduate education will give him a head start, and allow him to start his future career as an osteopathic physician on the right foot.
Colin is also in the Honors College, and majoring in applied engineering. The Promise Scholarship supports him in his studies, and he pays it forward by putting his newly acquired skills to the test at the coolest on-campus job: working in the national nuclear physics Facility for Rare Isotop Beams. There, Colin helps address computer issues for the scientists and administrators working to bring the project to fruition.
