MSU to Mobilize Spartans Through #GivingTuesdayNow, May 5

Gifts will go right to work impacting the lives of MSU students and members of the greater community.

Generosity is at the heart of all loyal Spartans. They are driven by the need to help others and believe it can unite and heal communities in good times and bad. The global threat from COVID-19 touches every person on the planet and presents an opportunity to come together as a global community.

Michigan State University will take part in a national effort to encourage giving on Tuesday, May 5. Giving Tuesday Now is an opportunity for the Spartan community to promote and support great work being undertaken by MSU’s faculty, staff and students to address the COVID-19 crisis.

MSU will promote projects and programs seeking support for innovative solutions to critical concerns such as shortage of personal protective equipment and support for individuals experiencing hardship as a result of the crisis.

Through MSU’s CrowdPower platform, donors can find many projects to support that address emerging needs such as emergency funds and resources for students.

Gifts to any of these causes will go right to work impacting the lives of MSU students and members of the greater community.

To make an online gift on May 5, head to the #GivingTuesdayNow webpage, find the ermergency fund you want to support and follow the steps to complete your gift.

You can help promote MSU’s efforts on social media, using the hashtags #GivingTuesdayNow and #SpartansWill
