Gifts to any of the causes being championed on Give Green Day will go right to work impacting the lives of MSU students and members of the larger MSU community.

Michigan State University’s fifth annual Give Green Day will take place March 16, 2021, a departure from the tradition of the past four years, when the event has taken place in late fall.

Despite the new date, nothing else about the wildly successful annual event has changed: it’s still the same 24-hour campaign to engage Spartans and friends across the world in giving back to the causes they care about, all to support students at MSU.

All of MSU’s colleges are expected to participate, as well as the Wharton Center for Performing Arts, the Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum, MSU Libraries, and International Studies and Programs among others. Additionally, alumni clubs around the country will ask their members and friends to support club initiatives and scholarship funds.

Gifts to any of these causes will go right to work impacting the lives of MSU students and members of the larger MSU community.

Faculty, staff and retirees are among the most stalwart supporters of Give Green Day, by both spreading the word to their networks as champions for their colleges and programs, and by stepping up to make a gift.

In 2019, MSU raised more than $1.5 million on Give Green Day. Of that, $222,122 came from 1163 faculty, staff and retiree donors.
