About the Wharton Series

Both the Wharton Series and MSU's Wharton Center for Performing Arts are named in honor of former president and first lady, Clifton and Dolores Wharton, longtime residents of New York City, whose legacy of extraordinary leadership has impacted businesses, economic development, arts and culture, education, and philanthropy.

In this spirit, MSU will convene conversations each year in New York City to envision what is possible and empower excellence. The aim is to inspire Spartans to become agents, as the Whartons are, in shaping the world we share.
