On behalf of the 7,000+ graduate students at Michigan State University, I respectfully request that you consider making a gift to the Graduate School during the 2009 All University Campaign.
Michigan State University has a long tradition of excellence in education and of providing assistance to meet the financial needs of its students. The Graduate School, in close collaboration with MSU colleges, seeks to strengthen MSU's national and international reputation by continuing to attract the world's top graduate student talent to campus. Your support will help the Graduate School provide fellowships to these students as well as to further its mission as an advocate for graduate education to the university and beyond.
The Graduate School oversees graduate programs, cooperates with faculty to enhance program quality, and works with graduate students on their concerns. We proudly offer a number of activities related to the quality of graduate programs and graduate student professional development, including:
Although your strongest ties may be with graduate education, please know that you can also direct your gift to any part of the university. With your contribution, you will join thousands of fellow faculty and staff members in supporting MSU. Last year, MSU faculty and staff were very generous, pledging and gifting more than $13.9 million to the university.
An important point to consider: 100% of your gift benefits the program you select to support. Nothing will be deducted for overhead or administrative expenses. We even make it easy by offering payroll deductions as one way to make your gift.
Thank you in advance for your consideration. Your investment in the future of Michigan State University through a gift to the 2009 All University Campaign is most appreciated!
Sincerely,
Karen Klomparens, Dean
Assistant Provost for Graduate Education
