All U Campaign
College of Education
Carole Ames, Dean

Dear MSU Colleagues and Friends,

Thank you for considering a gift to the College of Education through the All University Campaign. I recognize and value the many talents you share with the college and university and appreciate your consideration of enhancing your "giving" to the college by financially supporting our students and/or our programs.

Our reputation provides us with increased visibility among potential students, which in turn gives us a competitive edge in recruiting the brightest students to our programs. However, many of our students have serious financial need. In an effort to address this need you might consider directing your gift to support our students through the Dean's Excellence Fund, which provides scholarships and fellowships for our high achieving students with financial need.

The following list of funding options provides designation codes for many of our endowed funds and for our department discretionary funds. Discretionary funds provide the greatest flexibility to direct funds to areas with the greatest need.

If your gift is $1,500 or more, you will be included as a member of The College of Education Leadership Circle. The Leadership Circle is distinctive to the College of Education and offers you many benefits including the opportunity to select a recipient of the Crystal Apple Award to be presented at a dinner on Friday, November 20, 2009 at the Kellogg Center. If you choose to join The Leadership Circle this year, a selection form for this award will be mailed to you.

If you have any questions about the All University Campaign or other ways of giving to the college, please contact Julie Bird, Assistant Director of Development at 517.432.1983 or by email at birdjuli@msu.edu.

I appreciate your consideration.

Sincerely,
Carole Ames
Dean
