All U Campaign
The College of Natural Science
James Kirkpatrick, Dean

Dear Colleagues,

The realities of the state and national economy continue to dramatically affect the ability of Michigan State, the College of Natural Science and its departments and programs to address our primary missions of providing outstanding an education undertaking leading research. As state support for the University decreases, the foundation that your gifts provide is more important than ever.

The college has a strong history of support from our faculty, staff and retirees. During the past capital campaign, CNS faculty and staff contributed more than $6 Million to support everything from undergraduate scholarships and graduate fellowships, to building projects, to department and program discretionary funds.

We sincerely hope that you will join my wife, Carol, and me in continuing to support the College. Each department and program has several different funds, so your gift can be directed towards your area of interest and allow us continue to do the stellar work for which we are so well known.

Several of these funds are listed below as highlights of where you can have significant impact. However, if you have other interests, I encourage you to contact Kate Powers in our development office at (517) 353-5962.

Additionally, I hope that you will visit the college web site, www.naturalscience.msu.edu, to see the many exciting things that are taking place in the College.

I express deep appreciation for each and every gift made to the College this year. From first-time annual gifts to Donor Society pledges, your support is vital in allowing us to move forward together over the coming years.

I am proud to be a part of CNS and thank everyone for their continued support of the college programs.

Sincerely,

R. James Kirkpatrick
Dean, College of Natural Science
