The Spartan Running Club givs athletes a platform to compete in cardio-based events all over the United States. Events such as, Army 10-Miler, Alex’s Great State Race, Lansing Marathon, Ann Arbor Marathon, Spartan Races, and Tough Mudders. This program develops athletes who succeed in races by instilling discipline, physical endurance and mental resilience. In the past we have competed nationally in the Army 10-Miler and received 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place.
This year, the Spartan Running Club will travel to Washington D.C. to compete in the Army 10-Miler. Your gifts will help us cover the cost our travel to the competition. While each team member runs their own race, our team's four fastest times determine our final score. By running the race together, we will push each other to maximize our potential.
Our goal is to have the four fastest times of any team competing, allowing us to bring home 1st place for the first time!
The approximate cost of round-trip airfare for all participants is $1750. To keep our costs low, the team is tapping into its robust alumni network in the National Capital Region to provide lodging and will use public transportation to get from place to place within the city.
The 2017 Spartan Running Club is made of ten members: Cameron Woodard, Sebastian Suntheimer, Nick Woodard, Collin Gagnon, Shane Neal, Steven Dinverno, Mike Stass, Terra Crown, Joe Gardner, Perry Carter.
