Help Send the MSU Formula Racing Team to Germany

For the first time in MSU Formula Racing history, we will be competing at Formula Student Germany (FSG) and we need your help!

Sparty in an MSU Formula Race Car.

The MSU Formula Racing Team represents Michigan State University’s entry into the Formula SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) collegiate design series. Our team is an entirely extracurricular and student-run organization, which is open to all majors and class levels. Each year our team is tasked with the challenge of funding, designing, manufacturing and racing a small open-wheel racecar.

Formula SAE provides an incredible learning experience by challenging us to develop a competitive and innovative racecar from the initial concept through final system validation. The knowledge and hands-on experience gained through Formula SAE provides an invaluable benefit to the careers and lives of every member.

We Need Your Support

FSG is held at the Hockenheimring August 9-14. Since the competition began in 2005, Formula Student Germany has grown as one of the most prestigious competitions in the world today. We have been planning our team’s trip to Germany since September 2015 and it has been a challenging and rewarding process.

With your help we are looking to raise $5,000 that will be used for both competition fees and lodging while in Germany.

Competition Fees: $805.65

Partial Lodging and Subsistence: $4,194.35

Any additional funds raised will go toward helping us get to the competition. In order to get the ball rolling, we have launched this CrowdPower campaign.

Your Support Will Make a Big Impact

Going to FSG will provide an opportunity to compete on the largest international scale, against the best teams in the world. Competing in Germany will also give us the chance to expand our global engineering skills, while providing a valuable educational experience.

Your support is what truly makes this invaluable learning experience possible. Please support us with any amount you can. Every dollar will help us hit our target! As an entity of Michigan State University, all donations to our program are tax-exempt under U.S. tax laws.
