The Michigan State University Cheerleading Team would like your help to raise funds to take us to the UCA College Cheerleading Nationals in Orlando, Florida in January 2016.
The Universal Cheer Association (UCA) Collegiate Nationals consists of cheerleading, dance and mascot competitions. Colleges and universities from all major conferences will be stepping off of the sidelines and into the spotlight to compete towards their own goals.
Michigan State University did not go to Nationals last year, yet we are ready to head down to Florida to represent the Green and White with pride. Our team consists of 13 seniors and nine underclassmen who have been working hard since June for this opportunity.
The MSU Coed Cheerleading Team is affiliated with the university for game day experiences, but our Nationals journey is not funded through the university. Each cheerleader of the 2016 Nationals team must raise $850 to cover their expenses, with the team needing to raise $20,000 overall.
The money donated will cover the travel expenses, competition registration fees and meal expenses for the 2016 Nationals Team January 14-18 trip. The team’s overall expenses add up to $20,000, so any donations are greatly appreciated!
Our overall fundraising goal is to raise or surpass $5,000.
The Michigan State University Coed Cheerleading Team cheers at all home football, men’s basketball, women’s basketball and volleyball games. The team also travels for away football games and basketball tournaments.
The Nationals team consists of 22 cheerleaders that volunteered to be a part of the competing Nationals team. These athletes dedicate extra time on top of their normal commitments to MSU athletics, while also balancing their academics.
The Nationals team is working hard to represent the university well at Nationals and appreciates any support in our journey! So thank you, and as always, GO GREEN!
